Zac is a native of Butte, Montana, and an alumni of the
University of Montana. He landed in Austin a year ago after over two years of
moving around the globe chasing the arts with his fiancée. He is extremely
excited and grateful to be part of such a vibrant, active, talented, and
welcoming arts community. Zac is the artistic director of the Buttenik Ensemble, a non-profit theater
company bent on the creation of new theatric work through all available mediums
and the ensemble process. The Butteniks
are responsible for the creation of thirteen original productions over the last
decade. Zac has worked as an actor, designer, and director for the Virginia City Players, Fort Peck Summer
Theater, 6:01AM Productions, Wheel of Fire Productions, Missoula Children’s
Theater, the Big Sky Repertory Theater, Chisel Industries, Skye Grace Bennet
Productions, and Feral Films. He is
the founder of the theater writing collaborative The Table Assembly, and one half of the band Table. Zac’s Austin credits include Lee Harvey Oswald in The Sniper’s Nest for Last Act Theater
and EVN Productions, Joe in Waiting for
Lefty for Street Corner Arts, Steve in Welcome
to the Moon for the Exchange Artists, and was a member of the ensemble that
created Circle Your Wagons for the
Exchange Artists. He enjoys pen and ink drawing, carpentry, chopping wood, and
feeds himself by shingle roofing houses and bottling Kosmic Kombucha. Zac would like to thank everyone for attending
the show and keeping local theater alive. Every ticket you buy and
recommendation you make allows us to continue.
